If you have seen Oprah's Big Give program, then you have heard about Oprah's challenge to "Give Big Or Go Home".
In our very own neighborhood we had Drew's Big Give which aired on Oprah's show on April 21, 2008. Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church of which I am a member of was challenged to also "Give Big Or Go Home" with a drive to help those in need in our own neighborhood. We had a huge success that started with just one little 4 year old boy, Drew. Drew was asked for his 5th birthday what he wanted and he wanted to do something for needy families~ and he has! Drew, you touched us all. You may be small but you have a huge heart.

My best friend's grown daughter Jennifer has gone to Africa to volunteer there in an orphanage for several years now. They have many needs and yet are so happy with the basics of life. So many lessons and how proud I am of Jennifer for spending her summers and her spare spending money not on herself, but rather making a difference.
